I have been working out with Hit Fitness for over 8 years. Whether participating in private sessions, group sessions, or Saturday Bootcamp, Dan not only challenges you but makes sure you have fun while working out. Dan is the perfect balance of someone who pushes your limits and understands your abilities. Over the past 8 years with Dan, I have accomplished more than I ever thought I could imagine. I have been going to Hit Fitness pretty regularly for about 6 months now, and I definitely recommend it. Dan is an amazing personal trainer! I have a lot of different issues like bad knees, and a bad back. Dan often modifies exercises for me so that I am still able to challenge myself without exacerbating any of my problems. In fact, since I have started working with Dan some of my problems have gotten better. I feel better than I have in a long time, and I credit this to Dan. He is always encouraging you to do your best, and to do more than you think you are capable of doing. I never thought that I could do half of the things I can do now. His small group training sessions are great. They give the feeling of having a one on one personal trainer without going broke. Also, I never thought I would say this, but I love Saturday morning boot camps. It isn’t easy, but I get such a good full body work out, and feel great afterwards. I see a lot of other personal training businesses that have boot camps with tons of people in them. I prefer Hit Fitness because I get more personalized attention. I would get lost in one of those huge classes. Dan is always there to correct my form if needed, or tell me when I’m doing something wrong. That is so important to me, because I like to know that I am doing things properly so that I don’t injure myself and I get the best work out. Best part is it’s only $10, and you don’t have to pre register or pay ahead or anything. Just show up and work out. It is good for all ages and fitness levels. There are people there in their 20’s as well as in their 60’s.

Russ and Dan will work with you to develop a plan to fit your needs/goals and work around physical limitations you may have. They don’t promise overnight results and will push your limits. I have always been physically active and in shape, but as I got older my activity level dropped. When I turned 40, I knew that I had to do something. I was out of shape and overweight. Dan Bowen is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to personal training. He has extensive theoretical and practical knowledge. His exercise plan is always varied and never gets boring from week to week. This is true for both his “boot camps” and to individual sessions.
Dan is able to quickly modify an exercise to accommodate a weak back, knee sprain or to adapt to a recently healed wrist injury. He is encouraging while, at the same time, has high expectations and helps to push clients to do their personal best. And best yet, Dan always has a smile on his face.
After finding Dan’s H.I.T. Fitness website via a Google search for personal trainers, I’ve been training with him for about 9 months now. When I initially contacted Dan about training, I didn’t necessarily know what to expect, but now looking back, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. My initial goals were to lose weight, and to learn ways to make my workouts more efficient and effective. Dan has helped me achieve those goals and so much more. I have increased my overall level of fitness while becoming stronger, leaner, healthier and much happier with myself. On top of all that, Dan’s training even helped me to complete a triathlon! I am a client of personal trainer, Dan Bowen. I am close to 57 years old, a juvenile diabetic, a cardiac patient and have high blood pressure obesity. My blood sugars always ran high, my back was in constant pain and I was always feeling run down and weak. I knew that I had to do something. I have seen a lot of personal trainers and they seem to make everyone do the same routine over and over again, and then I met Dan.
Dan is a vault of knowledge and has customized my training to me and my physical needs. I was obese and I had no strength at all. My body was at its weakest point when I began. Dan doesn’t give up on you and he cares.
Within a few months my whole life has turned around with healthy eating habits and working out with Dan two times a week. Not only have I lost pounds, but more importantly a lot of inches. My blood sugars are the best that they have ever been and I only take 1/3 the amount of insulin that I used to take. I no longer have high blood pressure or backaches. I now take my dogs on long walks without getting winded, whereas before I could barely walk from my car to the gym’s front door without sitting down to catch my breath. I haven’t felt this good since I was in my twenty’s. I get stronger day after day.
Dan has not only given me my health back, but he saved my life. All trainers cost relatively the same, give or take a couple of dollars, but if it’s the best trainer that you are looking for, Dan is the one. No one can ever put a price on your health, and with Dan you are getting your money’s worth.
At this point, Dan is not only my personal trainer, but I also consider him a good friend. I look forward to many healthy years training with him.
